Anonymous asked: What country has the highest deforestation rate? And, how long do you think it will take, once all the trees have been cut down, for global warming to take effect?

Brazil has the highest deforestation rate. Around 8,000 square miles are cleared annually. The second is Indonesia, with over 5,000 square miles cleared annually.

As far as global warming goes, it’s already started. But, it’s a slow process, which is why it’s a good idea to start trying to stop deforestation now, and prevent further urbanization. Trees are our source of life, and without them, what future do we have?
